Getting out with the Camera

Picking up the Nikon and getting outside

I realise we are 11 days in, but Happy New Year to you! I hope it was a good one for you and that this year is your year with many exciting things to come!

It has been a little while since I picked up my lovely Nikon D750, probably because of the weather, it hasn’t really inspired me as much to get outside and take some photos. I really wanted to change that starting this new year, so I did.

This won’t be a long write-up as I mostly just want to show you what images I got from today’s little adventure out in the Peak District with my mate. So Josh passed his driving test and got his first car and he has been breaking in it, driving it around every day to get accustomed to it and such. Big congrats to him! Of course he and I wanted to get out to the countryside and get some snaps with our cameras so here is what I got…

This is a before & after image as I really like the final edit on this, bringing out all the colours of the twilight sky and lighting up the foreground really stands out for me. I took this up in Owler Tor. It was a 25 second exposure at f/7.1 and ISO 800.

They are some of my favourite shots I got over the last 2 days and I am pretty happy with them. Also, Isabel has returned from her trip to Prague, (I couldn’t go due to exams) and she had a brilliant time, super jealous. I took some quick photos of her this evening including Ziggy with some fairy lights so here they are…

And Ziggy.

Hope you enjoyed the photos. I really enjoyed dusting off the Nikon and taking some images again and I hope to do it again really soon!
